The Russian Toy Terrier measures from 8 to 10 inches and weighs from 3 to 6 pounds. This miniature dog can be the smallest or can be one of the smallest dog breed. There exist two types of this breed - one has a short smooth coat and the other is long coated.
The short haired variant looks a lot like a small deer with its four thin long legs, small head, small muzzle but big doe-like eyes and long large erect triangular ear. Both the long haired and the short haired types are very similar in body structure. The ears of the long haired type is covered with long hair. Long plumes of hair make the dog's ears appear like the wings of a butterfly.
These pocket sized dogs make wonderful pets. It would be very easy to love this dogs because they have a sweet and loyal personality.
